screenseal - Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the screenseal Chrome extension ("Extension") provided by globaleyez GmbH ("we", "our", or "us"). By installing or using the Extension, you agree to these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using screenseal, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the extension.
2. Description of Service
screenseal is a Chrome browser extension that helps users to quickly capture the whole, visible, or a selected part of a web page, complete with an automatically embedded timestamp (UTC or local time). The Extension provides:
- Capturing of visible pages
- Capturing of browser tabs (bulk screenshots)
- Different download formats (PNG, JPG, PDF)
- UTC timestamp or local timestamp
- Different timestamp positions (Top, Middle, Bottom, and Left, Center, Right)
- Different timestamp format (SO, ANSI, DIN)
- One-click and shortcut options
- Ask before downloading option (Opens the file save dialog before downloading the screenshot)
- Close tabs after capture option (Automatically close tabs after capturing (Browser Tabs only)
3. Acceptable Use
You agree to use screenseal exclusively for lawful purposes. You are prohibited from:
- Using the Extension for any illegal activity
- Using the Extension in a manner that infringes on the privacy or legal rights of third parties
- Attempting to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Extension
- Circumvent any usage limits
4. Intellectual Property
The Extension, including its code, design, and documentation, is the property of globaleyez GmbH and is protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive use of the Extension in accordance with these Terms.
5. User Data and Privacy
All data you collect using the Extension is stored on your device. We do not collect, transfer, or have access to your data. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for more information.
6. Updates and Changes
We reserve the right to update the extension occasionally to improve its functionality, fix bugs, or comply with regulatory requirements. We also reserve the right to update these Terms; your continued use of the Extension following such updates constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Extension is supplied "as is" without any warranty. We disclaim all express or implied warranties, including, but not limited to, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement of third-party rights.
8. Limitation of Liability
globalyez GmbH shall in no event be liable for damages of any kind resulting from or in connection with the Extension or its use. None of the information contained in the Service or in any written or oral communications from globaleyez GmbH or its employees shall be construed as constituting a promise, commitment, warranty, or guarantee; all such representations are expressly excluded to the extent that they conflict with the statements and disclaimers contained in this paragraph.
globalyez GmbH makes no express or implied warranties regarding the ownership, accuracy, completeness, or suitability of the Service’s content or that the Service’s functionality will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or third-party attacks. You acknowledge that your use of the Service is at your own risk. In no event shall globaleyez GmbH be liable for any damages, including direct, accidental, punitive, consequential, or exemplary damages arising directly or indirectly from the use of or the inability to use the Service or the information contained therein, even if globaleyez GmbH has been advised of the possibility of such damages or losses and regardless of the theory of liability.
To the extent permitted by law, you agree that globaleyez GmbH shall in no event—whether conditional or otherwise—be liable for any indirect, special, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising in any way from or in connection with the Service, including, but not limited to, lost profits, data loss, copyright infringements, work interruptions, failure or malfunction, property damage, or any other damages or losses—even if globaleyez GmbH has been advised of the possibility of such damages, and regardless of the legal or equitable basis (contract, tort, statute, indemnification, or otherwise) on which such liability is based.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless globalyez GmbH, its partners, officers, and employees from and against any losses, liability claims, demands, or claims arising out of or in connection with the following:
a. Your use of the Service in violation of these Terms and/or due to a breach of these Terms, including, but not limited to, your representations and warranties set forth above;
b. Any third-party claims for infringement of copyrights or other intellectual property rights, invasion of privacy, or any other claims, including, but not limited to, the allegation that such content is illegal, offensive, or otherwise harmful and objectionable, arising from your creation or distribution of content using the Service and/or its provision to other users within or outside the Service and/or the actual use of such content by other users of the Service or related services in accordance with these Terms.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend your access to the Extension at any time in the event of a violation of these Terms. Upon such suspension, your right to use the Extension will immediately cease.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany.
12. Severability
If any provision of these Terms proves to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
